General Information

The Faculty of Communication was established at Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University by Presidential Decree No. 7477, published in the Official Gazette dated 04.08.2023 and numbered 32269. Previously, the "Public Relations and Advertising" department, which had been part of the Ömer Seyfettin Faculty of Applied Sciences, began its academic activities under the Faculty of Communication as of July 2024. The first students under the name Faculty of Communication were admitted in the 2024-2025 Academic Year. Our Faculty carries out its education and training activities at the Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University Central Campus, located on Çanakkale Road.

The Department of Public Relations and Advertising, with its academic staff, is focused on achieving its goals in a short period of time and prioritizes imparting professional knowledge and skills through industry-university collaboration. In addition to the theoretical courses in its curriculum, our department includes practice-oriented courses in order to increase the competitive chances of its graduates in the sector. At this point, through the "Media Center" within the Faculty of Communication, our students gain sector experience during their university life by putting into practice what they learn in class. Sectoral experiences are offered to our students through the Public Relations and Advertising Community, founded by students of our department.

As of the 2025-2026 Academic Year, the Department of Public Relations and Advertising has a total of 5 full-time faculty members, consisting of two professors, one associate professor, and two assistant professors (Dr.). In addition, there are two research assistants. Our department, which admits students based on the verbal (sözel) score type, has a quota of 41 students. The Department of Public Relations and Advertising does not have an evening/second education program.
